Strategic Partners

IMPULSORA AND PROISTMO “THE INTEROCEANIC CORRIDOR OF THE TEHUANTEPEC ISTHMUS (CIIT)”

In 2024, Plataforma Mesoamérica and IMPULSORA signed a cooperation agreement to promote and advance the agroindustrial vocation in collaboration with Promotora de Desarrollo, Industria y Bienestar del Istmo de Tehuantepec SAPI de CV (PROISTMO), concessionaire of five Development Poles for Well-being (PODEBIS):

  • Texistepec
  • San Juan Evangelista
  • Matias Romero
  • Santa María Mixtequilla
  • Progreso I

This agreement aligns with the Agro-Food Innovation Ecosystem Agenda, promoted by the Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Secretariat of the Navy, CIIT, IICA, and the INNOVAGRO network. Through this partnership, IMPULSORA acts as a technical and strategic coordinator to structure bankable agroindustrial projects, with a focus on sustainability, territorial governance, and attracting both national and international investment.

Collaboration with PROISTMO provides a nationwide platform for designing agroindustrial infrastructure, integrated value chains, and logistical hubs with a long-term vision, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ESG criteria, and inclusive regional development in southeastern Mexico.

“This ambitious project will not only transform global trade but also promote social and economic development in the region, positioning the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec as a key axis for Mexico’s growth and competitiveness on the international stage.”

IMPULSORA AND INSTITUTED TRUSTS IN CONNECTION WITH AGRICULTURE (FIRA)

IMPULSORA operates as part of the Binational Guarantee Program for the Development of Exporting Agricultural Suppliers, in partnership with FIRA (Instituted Trusts in Connection with Agriculture).

This program enables the design and operation of shared financial guarantee schemes that facilitate access to credit for agricultural producers linked to value chains structured for export to the United States. Through a First-Loss Fund, co-financed by international buyers and FIRA, or through purchase contracts (Contract Farming), financing is guaranteed for small and medium-sized producers, integrating them into formal, traceable, and sustainable supply models.

IMPULSORA acts as a technical-financial orchestrator, structuring bankable supply chains, developing purchase agreements, and coordinating with financial intermediaries, contributors, and local governments.

This model:

  • Is operated in collaboration with more than 26 authorized financial intermediaries
  • Has successful precedents, such as the program with Grupo Modelo for the barley value chain

Is aligned with SDGs 1, 2, 8, 9, and 17, and serves as a powerful tool for financial inclusion, strengthening supply chains, and attracting responsible investment to Mexican agriculture

IMPULSORA and ESPICARRI International Trade

IMPULSORA has partnered with ESPICARRI, a firm with 24 years of experience in international trade between the United States, Mexico, and China, to strengthen logistics, regulatory compliance, and financial aspects within agri-industrial supply chains.

This collaboration positions IMPULSORA as a logistical and regulatory facilitator for agro-industrial projects with export or import orientation.
ESPICARRI contributes expertise in cross-border trade, international transportation, market analysis, customs regulations, and financing.
Together with IMPULSORA, we will develop models for the export and import of agri-food products in accordance with ESG standards, traceability, and regulatory compliance.

This alliance enhances our market access infrastructure and strengthens the comprehensive technical capacity of bankable projects.

IMPACTOR – INTER-AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR COOPERATION ON AGRICULTURE (IICA)

This partnership with IICA reinforces IMPULSORA’s commitment to designing, structuring, and scaling impactful projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and international sustainability frameworks. This ongoing communication and technical cooperation enable us to jointly assess the feasibility and alignment of various strategic projects with IICA’s priorities, which include:

Joint evaluation of sustainable-focused projects: A direct means to review the technical and financial viability of IMPULSORA’s projects according to IICA’s criteria and its ecosystem of programs.

Institutional recognition and operational strengthening: Collaboration with IICA consolidates IMPULSORA as a strategic actor in the national agricultural transformation.
